I am a mom of three kiddos and a movie-holic.  My go-to choice is always movies. Date Night? Movie! Girls Night? Movie! Free Day? Movie!  I go to the movies to escape the confines of my life.  I love that I can feel as though I’ve traveled in space, met former presidents or been loved by a vampire and escape into that world. From the first movie I can remember going to see, (Superman with Christopher Reeve!) I fell in love with them. I got to fly around with Superman and when he smiled at the camera, pretty sure he was looking directly at me. I was hooked.

I enjoy recommending movies to friends and that what this blog is for. I love to tell friends if I think the movie is worth their time. Not that my opinion matters much but if you want a regular ol mom’s opinion, I’m here for you.  There’s one genre I don’t do and that’s horror.  Sorry, I feel like horror films are all the same- designed to scare the bejeesus out of you and honestly, I get enough of that just watching the news. Not my thing.

People often ask me what my favorite movie is. This is so hard to answer…I could “no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens” (that’s a quote from Ever After, one of my favorite rainy day films).  It’s easier for me to break it down into categories: a favorite drama, thriller, sci-fy, action, rom-com or animated.

I simply can’t choose one but here are some favorites:  Gone With the Wind, Shawshank Redemption, Breakfast Club, Pride & Prejudice, The Goonies, Silence of the Lambs and Toy Story 3.  But wait, how could I leave out Stand By Me, Titanic, Ever After or Star Wars?  See what I mean?  I cant choose.
